  The parador overall is old-fashioned, dark and gloomy. The restaurant is in the same style - over-formal, pretentious, but without the food living up to its pretensions.

  The parador is on the ring road out of town. You don't feel like getting in the car to drive to find somewhere else to eat. So we always eat here. Bad decision every time.

  The Parador at Salamanca has good food, as does the Parador de Cordoba. The Hotel La Caminera near Valdepenas in Ciudad Real provinces has exquisite food. And very similar prices at both.
